Mari Andrea Travis is a choreographer, director, performer, and arts educator hailing from Baltimore, MD. She was last seen in Soul: The Stax Musical at Baltimore Center Stage. Mari Andrea was also a production assistant for Fela! (Nigeria). Theatre choreography credits include Twelfth Night at Baltimore Center Stage, Black Nativity, Miss Ever’s Boys and co-choreography for The Wiz at Morgan State University; Ain't Misbehavin at Spotligher’s Theatre; Smokey Joe's Café at Baltimore’s Arena Players; For Colored Girls who ConsiderSuicide When the Rainbow is Enuf at Coppin State University, and The Determination of Azimuth with The Baltimore Rock Opera. Directing credits include Spell #7 and Colorblind: The Katrina Monologues at Baltimore's Arena Players; and Fools and Madmen, a hip-hop adaptation of King Lear with Cohesion Theatre. She has assistant-directed numerous shows for Baltimore Center Stage and D.C.'s Studio Theatre. She was the dance captain for Baltimore Center Stage's Lookingglass Alice and camp director for their spring break musical theatre camp. MariAndrea received a BA in theatre from Morgan State University and is receiving an MFA in Dance at the University of the Arts. Mari Andrea is a third generation member of one of Baltimore's first black-owned dance and modeling schools, Flair Dance and Modeling Studio, where she taught dance, modeling and acting for over 15 years.
